The law of attraction remains a mystery to many people, in spite of the recent wave of movies and books that claim to be about this ancient principle. This mystery surrounding the law of attraction is what makes boatloads of money for the so-called 'gurus'... and it can also keep you from reaching your own dreams. What follows are the three biggest secrets that law of attraction gurus don't like to talk about, the truth behind those secrets, and methods you can use to apply these secrets in your own life to manifest your dreams and desires.

Law of Attraction Secret #1: The Law of Attraction is 'hidden knowledge' that only a select few understand and benefit from.

The truth: The principles behind the law of attraction have been around for a long, long, time. Far from being a secret, or being hidden, they have been written about and talked about for centuries. The reality is that the majority of people don't seek out the knowledge of how to improve themselves or to live a better life, and even fewer people will actually use that information if they seek it out.

If you want to make specific changes in your life the information on how to do so is out there for you to learn to be successful. But you have to go get it. You have to become a seeker. Imagine you are sitting in your room wishing you could learn to become a piano player or a cabinet maker or a dancer. Is the knowledge of how to become a piano player or a doctor in your closet? Can you run down to the corner store and pick some up some information on how to become an engineer? How about your family or friends? Chances are, none of these options will serve you very well. You have to go out and find the information yourself. Is the knowledge hidden? No, it's just not common knowledge. The same is true of the law of attraction and of learning to improve your life. There is very little real hidden information in life, so decide what you need to learn and go learn it.

Law of Attraction Secret #2: You have to buy the newest book, or see the latest movie, or go to the hottest seminar in order to fully understand and learn how to use the law of attraction.

Do We Attract Even The Bad Things That Happen In Our Lives?

One of my faithful readers wrote to me to ask why I hadn't been updating this blog. I thank him for doing that, because it made me realize that I am not alone here. The fact that even one person wants me to continue gives me the inspiration to write more often.

During the past few months a series of things have happened in my life that have led me to ask the question "Do we attract bad things into our lives?" If we have illness or poor relationships with others, did we attract that into our lives? I have come to the conclusion that we learn something from each experience we go through, so if I have attracted health and interpersonal relationships into my life that I do not like, I will learn my lesson and move on.

As human beings we are wired to create mental “images”.  The term image in this context is an expansive concept, it includes the engagement of all of the physical senses as well as emotional senses such as joy, appreciation, hopefulness and enthusiasm.

It is a powerful tool of the Creative Process and its activity demonstrates the Law of Attraction. The images we hold in mind produce things and circumstances that are of a similar kind or energetic frequency. Tip 3: Talk about what you want.  Not everybody enjoys making a collage or visual board.  Notice that when you are talking about what you want you get all excited. That is the feeling you want to have to attract more into your life.  By talking to your friends and family, this will set the Law of Attraction in motion.

Attracting what you want into your life experience

We can attract almost anything into our life experience. One good example of this is when you are thinking about someone and very soon after that the phone rings and it is them on the line. You can use this same method to attract the right people, events, and relationships into your life.

Spend some time each day meditating. This will relax your mind so that your thoughts can easily flow towards the things you want to attract. Do this every day for a month and see what happens. Also, keep a journal. Writing down what you want in your life will make it more real to you. You will be able to determine exactly what you want and them be ready to receive it when it comes into your experience. Life can be so much more rewarding when you know what you want and are ready to have it manifest for you. This is the power of deliberate creation.

Do we really attract what we are thinking about?

When you are feeling a little down, like something is wrong but you just can't put your finger on the cause, you may be more likely to attract negative people and situations into your life. Instead of having to face unkind people and potentially dangerous situations, change your frame of mind before you do anything else. Just giving yourself time to feel your emotions and work your way up through your emotional guidance system can change the focus of your day and of your life.

You may not be able to move from despair to joy in one day, but you can move from discouragement to doubt in a very short period of time. The only thing that matters is that you are moving in the right direction. Feeling in control of your emotions and your life will change the way you look at and react to everything that comes into your sphere of interaction.

See It And You Will Believe It

Wayne Dyer wrote a book many years ago called You'll See It When You Believe It. Most of us did not understand what he was trying to teach us way back then, but now this concept is talked about and discussed much more.

Spend some time each day visualizing what you want in your life. Feel it as though it were reality instead of a visualization. Write down your goals and dreams and then spend time every day living and breathing the ideas of the life you want to achieve.

Look to your emotions when you aren't sure what to do

Your emotions will guide you through your life, if you just allow them to surface. If you are not feeling in the best mood, take the time to see what is going on inside you. Try to identify the feeling you are having and see if you can reach for a better thought.

You cannot go from hopelessness and despair to joy in one jump. But you can move up the scale slowly, allowing each emotion to express itself as you picture the life you are working toward. It is o.k. to feel bad as long as you work on getting to the next level of emotions.

Attracting Exactly What You Want Into Your Life

During the holidays I experienced deliberate creation on two different occasions. Each time I tried to think back to exactly what I had thought before it was created. I am getting better at this but for now I can only tell you to think about what you want as though it were already a reality. Picture yourself doing exactly what you want to do. Hear it, smell it, feel it, and it will become part of who you are. This stuff really works! I know it all sounds vague, but trust that you can do, be and have whatever you want in the world.

Allowing Joy and Prosperity Into Your Life

As you reach for the better feeling thought, allow joy and prosperity into your life. Feel as though these things are already in abundance in your life and, sooner than you think, they will be there. Picture yourself living the life you dream about. Reach out and touch what you want and it will appear. All that is joyous is waiting for you to allow and receive it into your life.

Thoughts Are Things

What you focus on expands, so your thoughts will become your reality. Use meditation to focus your thoughts on the things you do want in your life and let the things you do not want fall away naturally. Do not clutter your mind with thoughts that are unhappy or unproductive. Once you have cleared your mind of these thoughts you will be able to move forward in the diretion of your passion and goals.

The Power of Meditation

Meditating every day allows your mind to visualize what you want to be, do, have and become. By imagining it as though it were already a reality, you get closer to what you want. The mind is a powerful part of our brain and can help us to achieve greatness in our lives.

If you want to get what you want, you must know what you want. Make a decision and then stick with it until you are successful. The people who are benefitting the most from the Law of Attraction are those who have been decisive and are pursuing their dreams by doing whatever it takes. Take a stand, make a choice, and have anything you want in your life - now.

Contrast In What You Want

We find out what we want in our lives by exploring the contrast of what is available. By seeing or experiencing something that you don't like, you will know more what it is you do want in your life. Contrast is actually a good thing so that you can further refine the ideas, thoughts, material possessions and relationships you do want in your life. Compare and contrast and watch your results.

Positive Believing

Positive thinking is not enough in order for us to fulfill our dreams and find our true selves and reason for being here on Earth. Positive believing brings you right up to the point where you can take charge of your life and live the purpose you are here to live.

Ask the Universe and It Will Come

If only it were that simple. You must take some action in order for the things you want to appear. You think about what you want in your life, and feel what it will be like when it appears, but taking action is the final ingredient. You will know if you are taking the right action because it will feel good and like the right thing to do. Try this and see what I mean.

We Are Spiritual Beings Living A Physical Experience

We have always been spiritual beings, but being in a physical form has most of us forgetting the spiritual part much of the time. Do not get bogged down in physical causes, for they are only temporary. We are eternal beings going through a physical phase, much like children go through various phases as they mature.
